Types of Braces
Self Ligating Braces

Self Ligating Braces (frictionless or rapid braces) are special kind of braces which have auto lock system to hold the wire in place. Auto lock system imparts less friction between the wire and the braces than conventional braces resulting in rapid tooth movement. As there is less friction involved in self ligating braces, less forces are required for desired tooth movement making it a comfortable alternative to conventional braces. Auto lock system eliminates the need of latex or elastomeric ligatures to hold the wire. These components of conventional appliance act as nidus for plaque accumulation. Thus self ligating braces allow better oral hygiene also.

Clear Aligners

Clear Aligner system uses 3D graphic imaging and CAD/CAM technology to fabricate the upper and lower invisible plastic removable appliances. Each aligner is worn for 2 weeks period prior to being replaced by next aligner in the series till patient reaches the last pair of aligners. After making impressions of the patients teeth, all aligners are given to the patient .Each new aligner emulate the activation appointment of orthodontist using conventional braces. With clear aligners patient doesn’t have to visit orthodontist repeatedly for regular visits, making it an excellent choice for overseas patients.

Lingual Braces

Adults seeking orthodontic treatment have special aesthetic demands regarding the visibility of braces which prompted the idea of placing braces on the backside of the teeth, with a resultant evolution of lingual orthodontic treatment philosophy.Lingual braces are perfectly concealed orthodontic appliances for the patients who are reluctant to undergo orthodontic treatment due to their age , social status or profession. They are even indicated for the people who are active in contact sports ( martial arts) where the conventional appliances can hurt the lip during impact.

Porcelain Veneers or Dental Laminates

Porcelain veneers are thin, tooth-colored shells that are attached to the front surface of teeth to improve their appearance and are permanently bonded to your teeth. Veneers can be used to treat a number of different cosmetic concerns, including chipped, broken, discolored, or smaller-than-average teeth. Some people may only get one veneer in the case of a broken or chipped tooth, but many get between six to eight veneers in order to create an even, symmetrical smile. The top front eight teeth are the most commonly applied veneers.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are considered the standard of care for the replacement of missing teeth. Dental implants serve as artificial roots which are placed into the jaw bone and are allowed to fuse with the bone. Implants serve as closest thing to mimic a natural tooth because it stands on its own without affecting the nearby teeth (like in bridge). Dental implants can be used to replace a single tooth, several teeth or all of the teeth. On the account of duration required to load the implant, Advanced Orthodontic Center specializes in immediate loading protocol with state-of-the-art STRAUMANN ROXOLID SLA ACTIVE SYSTEM.

4 Options to Replace a Tooth
Beyond Straightening the Teeth
Cleft Lip & Palate

Cleft lip and palate constitute one of the most frequently occurring congenital anomaly which affects the development of face and jaws. Patients with cleft exhibit complex problems pertaining to facial appearance, feeding, hearing and speech. Management of cleft patients begin at first year of birth itself with surgical closure of lip followed by palate to aid in feeding. These surgeries retard the growth of upper jaw leaving the teeth malaligned and jaw deficient. Advanced orthodontic center recommends regular appraisal of cleft patients by the orthodontist during the course of growth. Orthodontic treatment in these patients is aimed at alignment of teeth as well as guidance of growth of jaws so that patient can achieve normal dentofacial morphology.

Dentofacial Orthopaedics

Orthodontic problems are broadly divided into problems affecting teeth and those affecting jaws. Correction of jaw problems need to be addressed at early an age so that child's own growth spurts can be used to enhance jaw growth. We use specialized orthopaedic appliances to restrain or accelerate the growth of jaws which are naturally enlarged or deficient respectively.

Temporomandibular Joint

Temporomandibular joint or jaw joint is the area of articulation of lower jaw to skull. With some sorts of malalignment of teeth lower jaw is forced to bite inappropriately on upper teeth. When it happens on consistent enough basis with sufficient enough intensity , progressive degenerative changes initiate in temporomandibular joint. This in turn instigate a whole raft of symptoms ranging from clicking, pain, headache, nausea, restriction in opening or closing the jaws. Special appliances (splints) are given to patients to alleviate these symptoms followed by correction of alignment of teeth, thus evading the problem to recur.
